Notice of ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2009
Thursday 8 October 7.00 - 10.00pm (EST)
In the LoA Inc Online Meeting Room at
http://www.lighthouses.org.au/agm.asp
Please note that this is an online meeting that will require you to have access to a computer to participate. The online meeting room will be active a week prior to the AGM so you can log on and become familiar with the layout of the 'room' and read all reports prior to the meeting. There will be a link to the meeting room from the LoA Inc webpage. Please send apologies to keeper@lighthouse.net.au
Nominations for positions on the LoA Inc. Committee will be accepted until Thursday 1 October, 7.00pm EST. If there is only one nomination for a position that position will be declared full without need to go to vote. Should there be a position for which there is no nomination, further nominations may be taken on the night. You may post your nominations via one of the email or mail options detailed above. Please ensure that you have checked with an individual to confirm that they are prepared to take on a nominated position.
Please note that you must be a financial member to be able to vote. Subscriptions were due as of July1st 2009 - you will have already received your reminder notice.
The Committee of 2008/2009 look forward to having you join us for this online AGM.

Existing Committee Positions open for Election of Officers at the AGM
President; Vice President; Public Officer (Vic based); Secretary;
Finance Officer; Membership Registrar;
Chief Publications Editor; Webmaster; Bulletin Editor; Prism Editor;
Promotions Officer; Liaison Officer (Representative from a like Lighthouse body);
Chief Archivist; State Representatives for Vic, WA, NSW, Tas, Qld, SA, NT;
International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend (ILLW) Coordinator;
Technical Officer to run online meetings; Social Committee Coordinator;
Up to 3 General Committee Members
NB: A number of people currently hold more than one of these jobs.
We are always keen to welcome new members to the Committee, however, please note that as the Committee is drawn from across Australia, it is essential that all Committee members have regular access to the internet as most of our communication is by email and our quarterly meetings are online.
