Situated off the north east coast of Tasmania, the beauty and history of these two islands, their lighthouses and the keepers’ quarters, is once again stunningly presented and published by 40 Degrees South.

A collection of images from highly renowned photographer John Ibbotson; historic images from private and the National Archives of Australia and the State Library of Tasmania collections as well as those taken by volunteers and caretakers captures the splendour and wild remoteness of these tiny islands and their lightstations.

The Tasmanian Lighthouses Calendar series is one of the major fundraising projects for Friends of Deal Island and Friends of Tasman Island, who are dedicated to the preservation of the natural and built heritage of these lighthouse islands.
