How long is it since you visited Cape Naturaliste lighthouse? Now is the time! The lighthouse precinct has been revitalised and on Saturday 13th February is the Grand Opening and Family Fun Day.

Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse is situated 13kms from Dunsborough. $230,000 has been spent on the precinct, with contributions coming from the Australian Tourism Development Program, the South West Development Commission and the Geographe Bay Tourism Association.

The three former keepers' cottages remain on the site, and one of these is open as a Maritime Museum revealing the fascinating history of the northern Capes region.  Cottage 1 has been the focus of the majority of restoration works and recently opened to the public as a venue for providing refreshments, under cover seating and souvenir sales.

New wheelchair accessible pathways and decking have been installed, ceilings have been replaced, floors stripped back and polished, new water tanks and filters installed, new fencing and gates erected and all surfaces stripped back and refinished.

Long term plans include converting the 3rd keeper's cottage to holiday accommodation.
