Suitable lighthouses are in short supply in this neck of the woods. Cape Bruny is the favourite but there are all sorts of difficulties. Access to Bruny Island is by ferry which runs to a limited schedule and cuts off our return long before the Universal time finishes. Accommodation is limited to two double beds and one single, and camping and caravanning are not available.
We will be there but not in the numbers we would like. But still working on it! We had similar problems last year trying to get near the Iron Pot light, which required access to Defence Department land - forthcoming until they found out we wanted to operate HF radios in their ammunition dump! We had to stretch the rules a bit with our location, but were as close as we could get.
