Tasman Island 100th Birthday Celebration

Sunday 2 April 2006

The Rotary Club of Tasman Peninsula will be conducting helicopter flights to Tasman Island, every 20 minutes all day from 8am till 3.20pm on Sunday 2 April 2006 in celebration of the Tasman Island Lighthouse's 100th birthday. Two helicopters will be transporting people to and from the island, one a Squirrel AS 350 with a 5-passenger capacity, the other a Robinson 44 (3 passengers).

Visitors will be able to spend two hours on the island, including access to the lighthouse cottages. Members of the Friends of Tasman Island (FOTI) will be on the island for a working bee, and will be on hand to answer questions.
