Lighthouses of Victoria |
The Victorian Index consists of almost all of the lighthouses along this treacherous coastline. Many shipwrecks have occurred along the Victorian coast, and Australia's third oldest lighthouse, Cape Otway, built in 1848, is located in the south-west. A map1 of the lighthouses listed on this website is available here. The lights are numbered as indicated below, beginning with the first lighthouse near the South Australian / Victoria border, Cape Nelson. |
