Celebrate 125 years on Wednesday 1 November 2006
Montague Island Lighthouse 1 November 1881 – 1 November 2006

A special day has been organised to give interested persons and especially lighthouse service workers, lightkeepers and descendents to come out to Montague Island and celebrate 125 years of maritime history.

On the island in the morning:

Welcome
Guided tours of buildings and island
Special guest book to sign
Flying of signals for “125”
BBQ lunch
Celebration speech and cake
Involvement of past keepers, workers and families

On the mainland in the afternoon:

Visit the original lens in Narooma’s lighthouse museum
Meet the author of “The Lure of Montague

Departure: 9am from Town Wharf
Return: by 1.30pm
Cost: $60 pp

An evening dinner will be held at Taylor’s Wharf, Riverside Drive, from 6pm onwards for those interested in attending.
