It appears that the new look Bulletin is viewed favourably amongst readers. Feedback received includes:

The only negative comment received was from a member who always prints out each edition of the Bulletin, and mentioned that it now requires more clicks of the mouse, and a little more paper, to print out a complete copy!

Nonetheless, it would appear that I have successfully achieved my long-term goal of improving the Bulletin, by reducing the size of what is delivered to your mailbox, allowing you to choose articles of interest, and improving the navigation within the Bulletin itself, without compromising the content.

I have also made major changes to the rest of the Lighthouses of Australia Inc website, incorporating maps for each state, and changing the appearance of the pages for each individual lighthouse. Some new lighthouse pages have also been researched and published - see the new Point Malcolm and Cape Don lighthouse pages.

The rest of the LoA Inc Committee have been busy too, answering queries, welcoming new members, brainstorming sponsorship strategies, preparing the printed journal Prism, adding new subscribers to the Bulletin mailing list, relighting lighthouses for special occasions..... the list goes on! We have noticed that the amount of correspondence coming in from readers and members has increased dramatically, which we hope is a reflection of the hard work we have put into the website, the Bulletin and the organisation as a whole. We apologise in advance if responses to your queries take a little longer than expected, as we work our way through all the emails and letters.

I welcome your feedback regarding the Bulletin and/or website - send your comments or suggestion to me via keeper@lighthouse.net.au.

We also hope that as ongoing Bulletin subscribers, those of you who are not members will take up the opportunity to join LoA Inc, and assist us the preservation of Australia's lighthouses.

Regards,
